I've been doing a little drawing lately...nothing serious, just for fun. I was never any good at it, but there is something very calming about taking a pencil to some paper and just letting your mind take you where it wants.
I also like to add embroidery.
It seems like there is so much potential with the figure, his shadow and the links. It's almost interesting to see a solitary (either sad figure or confidant) with the links connected. The links seem like a longing for connection or that he is tied down to something. Add in the platter, an offertory figure or sometimes representing wealth or a memory of a past time. Finally, the embroidery, another link to past or comfort. I don't know, it just seems like your imagery is starting to have a place to go. I'll be interested to see where you travel on this.
