Mount Lam Lam

One of the last things I did while on Guam was hike Mount Lam Lam (Lam Lam means lightning in Chamorro).
Mount Lam Lam can be considered the highest mountain in the world due to the fact that it rises from the nearby Mariana Trench (which is the deepest part of the ocean in the world). From the bottom of the trench to the top of Mount Lam Lam is the greatest change in elevation on earth in such a short distance.

Here is the view from the trail head.We made our way through high grasses and slippery mud...hiking in the jungle is fun!
Here are some views from the summit.We could see the entire island from the top!
